Well, he's now about 8" to 9" with the tail, still eat like a pig but still as skittish as it was before. He only come out to eat and back into hiding he goes.

no, not at all. Gorilla crab don't have the spoon like shape on their claws and their claws are black at the tip. Mine has green claws with spoon shape at the end, just like any emerald crab.

dunno about 150 watt but I have 250 watt MH 14,000k and nothing will overpower that. It does not even make much difference if I light up the T5 or not.
Maybe something is wrong with your ballast?
