I'd not try to get the majority of your water circulation from your sump, closed loop or power heads would be the way to go, but seriously, the Turbelle would be my choice.

Beverly, yes the impeller shafts, I believe they are stainless steel, and I've found they go black. I'm assuming this is a form of corrosion. I know they can get pretty slimely, I like the pro series...
