I wouldn't worry about dosing anything for some time yet. You won't know anything until your tank is set up and has been running for awhile. Then it is time to buy some good quality test kits and see...

My one spot foxface must be a dwarf. I've had him for close to 2 years now and he's still no more than 4" long. Also one of the most docile fish I've ever had next to my chicken firefish.

I think you posted this in the wrong spot but on a lightly stocked tank you would be pushing this skimmer to it's maximum. With a medium to heavy bio load, I would look for something else.

I'm setting up a new tank with a 3'x2' footprint and 20" tall. I have never tried an MP40 so depending on rock placement would one of these units be enough along with the return pump?

I find that leaving the net in the tank for awhile before chasing a fish helps get them used to it and makes the fish easier to catch. This only seems to work for a couple of minutes before the fish...

Are you shaking the polyurethane before you use it? This will introduce small bubbles into it. Let the can sit and stir it with a stick to prevent air bubbles.
