Your readings are off the charts though, as Aquattro said, doing a major water change will probably set things in the right course. Make sure that your water is getting decent aeration as well,...

The reason why I had asked was because GH x 0.058 and KH x 0.058 gives two completely different numbers, so I didn't know which one to use.

Just thought i'd mention that I went with a 40 galon breeder tank measuring 36"x18"x16" from King Ed Pets. Came to 150 total, but I'm excited to have it.
Now, I can hopefully sell my other tank....

I do have a cheap plastic hydrometer by the way, did you mean that it reads on the high side or on the low side? Does it mean that 1.021 reads lower than it should, meaning that it's actually ~1.024,...

We work a ridiculous amount, so nothing ever gets shut down on weekends. The office is fairly cold, but my tank is sitting at around 23-25 degrees Celcius.
The lights are on a retrofit kit I think...
