Don't do that..you will crash your tank, by doing this all the bad stuff that you have in the sand will go back in the tank and you will have a huge nitrate spike that will wipe out everything in...

the exhaust from the chiller has to do outside of the room,because all the heat the chiller extracts from the tank will heat the room and re-heat the tank so your chiller is inefficient

I re-used my sand,I just cleaned it very well until the water was clean, so all the debries are gone and put it back in the new tank without any issues..

+1...if the cup is lower the water will drain out on the lower point..looks like you need to build a stand so the drain pipe is lower then the cup..thisis one of the reasons i don't like external...
