I finished mine last week. I think best light angle would be direct head on to the mat from both side if possible. Yo do not have to seed it as your tank certainly contains a few cells of algae...

Anyone recognize this thing? The polyps retract when touched and the base feels kinda spongy and it is a SLOW grower in my tank. This piece popped up a couple of years ago and is still not much...

I am using Photoshop but most photo editing...
I am using Photoshop but most photo editing software includes this simple colour balancing function. Modern cameras are capable of doing colour balance too but I have yet to see one do as good a job...
