I find shipping to be quite high when ordering one or two items...but ordering a bit more doesnt change the price much. SO...I only place one or two large orders a year.

I'm sure you tank is fine with the small swing. Swings over 1dkh is usually only a problem for fusy corals.

I think getting used to adjusting and dosing your chemistry now is a good idea. Also you want balanced calcium and alkalinity. I think 420ppm is balanced with 8dkh....I think those would be good...

The user manual is most likely wrong about the 220v because it comes from EU. If the plug is the same type of prong as here you are probably good. Check the back of the unit it should say 120v...
