I think this is most evident in the shot of the Green Efflo ... total color loss.

I've never done a prophylactic B4 in the QT. I've monitored, Hypo if needed. Meds if needed or course, but never meds 'just cause'.
Things will change in the New Year in this respect....

Help identifying a Tang
Hey all. This is H2o2's Tang. It's Black, has a White band on it's caudal fin, Purple trim on it's anal fin, and when excited develops a Purple ring around it's knife.
Anyone have a clue what it is?...

It sounds like you do have quite a heavy PO4 issue so use whatever you need to.
I think you've hit it on the head.
Without consistent rock and sand cleaning I guess her PO4 is built up and now...

Going up is different and must be slow, but you can safely drop from 1.030 to 1.026 over a matter...

My experience with GFO has been to use smaller amounts and change it more...

Feeding tube for my shrimp
Since my tank is fallow 'til New Years, feeding the shrimp has been a chore that's causing algae issues.
So I made a tube to sorta 'target feed' them.
Something the crabs and snails can't get at....
