You make a very good point about the freightliner lol. I pulled out my hanna alk kit and it happened to have a little reagent left so i tested it against my salifert and it gave me the exact reading.

I've been testing alk every night at the same time. When it doesn't get consumed, I unplug the alk and calcium hoses from the doser because i dont want it to get out of balance until the next night...

It can't also be salinity, I got an ATO that kicks in as soon as about a litres of water evaporates.

Figured it out. It's a crappy canadian tire power bar I had in the wall outlets before the tank. It's a 3 prong outlets, took it apart and it's only 2 prongs wired up. Garbage it went!!!

Thanks for clarifying that :biggrin: I'm an sps guy myself so any LPS I have, was aquired from a trade with another reefer. Gotta start looking at the LPS side of the fish store more often lol
