Hi Ray,
I have an older model DC-170 internal. Do you know if it is possible to use this new style of pump with the old skimmer? Just wondering in case I need a replacement pump one day.

The UV should be preceded by some sort of mechanical filtration, so your drain line (main tank --> sump) is probably a bad location for it. Your return line will likely exceed the maximum flow rate...
