I would not recommend one if you have young kids. I have enough problems with little finger prints all over my tank. They could use it as a "water table" and have hours of fun.

I agree. They are not invert safe. I think it is hard to refer to fish according to the above categories as individual fish can be quite unpredictable as to what they will eat or pick on.
