this is a good question. A few of the fish stores in greater vancouver said they will order in "special fish" for a customer. Though i haven't tried this myself, the thought of this would eliminate...

I've seen one vendor in BC who has recieved red sea shipment over the last week :
1st asfur angels
2nd purple tangs
3rd golden butterflies.

I figure that other places will get them as well.

Big Als usually sells 2.5-3.5 inch specimens for around 50-60 bucks.
J&L aquatics has a pretty adamant pricing so you can check out their website.
You might get better prices with smaller stores...
