Well, after a month of trying I finally caught the 1 1/2" mantis that has been terrorizing my tank!
I used a 1 liter Evian water bottle with the top part cut off and put in backwards held with hot...

My VCR isn't flashing 12:00 .. so I guess the power didn't go out here!
Adam, the best power back up would probably be a gas or diesel generator. tongue.gif :D That should run a heater...

How long are your halides on for right now? I don't really know what the minimum photoperiod...

Yup, just cut a hole in an exterior wall and shove a fresh air hood through. That's it!
There are also cool air traps that can be used as well to keep air from pouring in and causing a nusiance.
