Ya, mine looks a bit like that one, with algae growing on it. I have moved it up into a brighter higher flow area recently. So we'll see if it picks up.

Brittle stars or Bristle stars? Hundreds or even thousands of bristle stars is normal for a lot of people, but I've never heard of a tank with that many brittle stars.

Perhaps your ALK additive is defective. Have you tested it? Have you ever tried to use the 2 part home made additive?
