Good. I would go with a large one. Many engineers (In my experience) underestimate the amount of moisture and heat a real reef system can create.

I like the system, but float switches do fail.

I would use your design as a back-up system to a mechanical float valve and RO pressure sensing shut-off, or the other way around.

A Nilsen reactor because it is small has to have something to stir it because of the new water coming in.

This is the drum for the SS. It is essentially a custom made version #2 with a few small holes in the back side to relieve pressure.
