If you can't keep it real consistent then aim for 9 or 10.

I use to aim higher, but I think NSW is a little better.

Good point! I always test my IO when I get a new batch, to ensure my mixing recipe stays the same.

Also, remember that magnesium (as is alk & calcium) go up proportionally to SG.

What salt are you using? IO naturally (at least the 10 or so that I have tested) runs about 1200 so I bump it up to 1380.

Are your corals doing OK now?

Unfortunately they sent their "salt water seals", the ones they offer as optional in their regular series of pumps (5800, 5200, etc..).

These are not the same seals as their fancy new Reeflo pumps...
