Hey Patrick,
Overdosing Kalk is a little more complicated than just "skyrocketing your calcium". You have to consider that Kalk is a high pH solution and overdosing it (using too much to quickly)...

I'm not sure what the status is of Reefpure right now, but J&L is still carrying their line and it's a bit cheaper than Kent. Especially the cartridge refils, much cheaper than Kent.
