IMO it is hit and miss with fish, it also depends on what strand of hair algae you have. Having a variety of different fish makes the chances, better. Tangs, blennies, some angels. My favorite algae...

I had 2 of my ballast go on me after just 6 months. I send them back and they sent me 2 brand new ones. They have great service. If they are under 3 years old they probably will repare or replace it...

Extra base rock

I got lots of extra base rock and I'm not sure what to do with it. I got the idea of putting it in my sump (No lighting). What are some opinions on that idea? Thanks
