I have those sounds also... Come and goes. Usually lots of clicks, then nothing for awhile (weeks or months) then it starts up again for awhile, usually in the evenings, when the lights are out.

Tunze all the way... I just replaced the pump on mine, as it was about 5 years old and finally gave out. But the replacement was only $30. Great and reliable.
