a good pump with the capability to have multiple outlets can cost around $200,but if your only growing the one, a cheap pump that can aerate is good enough.an aquamedic reactor is between $110-$120...

don't bother with the lit aqamedic reactor.save yourself $100 and use a cheap 2' t5,i myself use leds to light my reactor.it also depends on what phyto you are growing.red and white for nanochloropus...

type in diy nitrate reactor.i built mine using 2' of 3" pvc and about 30'-35 ' of black air tubing.you need around 10 plastic scouring pads,a mini ball valve,reef safe silicone and a small pump.oh...

you could build a nitrate reactor out of pvc,black air line and plastic scouring pads-takes about a month for results but it works well

all my tanks i've built have stockman standpipes and i make my own overflows with pvc.if your out in the burnaby area you can pop by and see some of the tanks i've built.i also have different sizes...

use the aquarium glass thickness calculator and use a safty factor of 4.i get my glass from action glass -only because it's close to me in burnaby.i also get them to order in my silicone-newflex 333...

it wouldn't be cost effective.they farm on the coast for the free water.course we could always build a double pipeline and ship butimine to kidamat and we could ship fresh ocean water to alberta-call...
