Corals need energy to grow. IMO, the energy comes from either light or food. We don't know the exact percentage between these two. But I guess it is not a fixed ratio even for a particular coral.

Where to buy B-Ionic or Bionic (What's it called!?)

Tech A, B, B-Ionic, C-balance, D-whatever.. They are all the same. They all work pretty well. They will get pretty expensive if you have a largish tank, say 100g.
I used both B-ionic and c-balance...

I keep hearing people suggesting multiple, small heaters in a tank to minimize the impact of heater malfunction. Well, it may slow down your temperature going up in the event of one or more heaters...
