Cleaning skimmer collection cup?
When Jeff at Euroreef sent me the new pump, he threw in a cleaning brush. Its round, with long soft bristles. The most amazing brush I have used in the years of cleaning that skimmer cup.

Mysis.. inital thoughts....
I have been feeding mysis for some time now. I find it leaves an oily substance on my fingers when feeding. I assume thats what shuts the skimmer down.
My clowns eat it, but prefer good flakes....

The gate valve itself is 3 inches, but the pipe of it is 2 inches. Not sure what part to measure. One honkin valve though.

Another Flood!
I now use a float switch in a 30 gal. tub, fed by the ro. A powerhead in the tub, feeds a float switch in my sump.
No floods yet, until the float switch jams that is. :eek:
