Another source for this is the swimming pool/hot tub industry. "Washing soda" AKA sodium carbonate AKA soda ash is sold as ph up/ph increaser. Definately wont have any soap in it and has no odor....

Fluke has a clamp-on multimeter model 30 thats pretty versatile for regular guy use. I think they run about a buck & a half.

Hi Steve. No offence taken but I think you should check your theory. What you are saying is more applicable to positive displacement pumps (gear, vane, diaphragm, piston) but not centrifugals.
