Thanks for all of the replies! I am just going to use some sch40 bulkheads for sure.

I went with the schedule80 because most of the plumbing is visible, I also just really like the look/quality...

I have approximately 25-40lbs (guessing) for sale.

The tank was healthy and running for 5yrs. The rock does have some light algae due to a busy summer and knowing that the tank would soon be shut...

I purchased the heater for an upcoming build but it is too long for the sump I went with.

Just an update - Dropped off the tank today at Concept Aquatics for the repair and should have it back for the long weekend. Looking forward to seeing it back in mint shape!!

Thanks for the replies everyone. I totally agree that it just isnt worth the risk. I know it would definitely always be on the back of my mind. Its such a nice tank too so it is definitely worth it...
