IMO I get the same results with both for the Alk test so either kit works for me. Its easier for me to get the Salifert ones tho so likely when this Elos is done I'll just be continuing with Salifert.

Aiming a powerhead at an area with good coralline growth will also help move it about the tank as it produces "spores". I find this helped a lot in one of my older tanks :biggrin:

To my knowledge all glass filters out UV thats why you can't work on your tan in your car when the windows are up :razz:

There may be something to getting tempered glass vs non tempered though.
