Dale, I have a 230gal tank and I built a huge cavern on the one side for him to hide in and some slightly smaller ones on the other side aswell....It's hard to give him alot of hidden swimming space...

To push water up ten feet and have a hefty flow afterward, your gonna need a pump that is pressure rated for at least 2500gph IMHO.

I would suggest maybe a Poisdon PS4 or any of the Reeflo...

The Electricity would take the best possible root to ground....since you don't have a ground probe or anything the only way for the electricity to flow is the same way it came in, through the neutral...
