How to get rid of cloudy water
Did you added new live sand to the tank lately? You mentioned using a fluval 405 filter. What type or carbon/media are you using?

Actually Dan and Nicky suggested the O2 could be depleted. She purchased a test kit, went home,tested the water.....VOILA !!!!

Wet Skimmate
I just took mine apart 10 days ago and cleaned it with vinegar....The smimmate was very clear for about 7 to 8 days but it is back to normal now.
Yours should be fine with time.

Caution Hydor Heater
I just pick one up last month...It was defective as well. I end up electrocuting my tuxedo urchin. I could also feel it with my hands in the tank. Took it back to store for a new one.

Thank you I have crabs. I have purchased the Seachem buffer and added a little bit, I have also added an air stone to the tank. I will test tomorrow. The fish don't seem to stressed about it. :smile:

Low PH during Hyposalinity / Help !!!

I am unable to keep the PH up in my QT tank during OST. I am performing daily water change but the PH never seem to creep up.
Any idea how to deal with this?
