You can add it all at once or a little at a time, depending on the size of your wallet.

6 line sleeping habits
Six line wrasses often produce cocoons around them when they sleep.
They are often full of tiny micro-bubbles, so that is most likely what you saw that looked like ick.
I have never been lucky...

setting up my new tank
I just use regular DIY coil and core 400w ballsts with 6500K Iwasaki bulbs on my tanks. For actinic I use 40 watt phillips 03's run by a Hagen electronic ballast.
