Last test and many before have come out as 400mg/l calcium and alk ~8 to 9.

How to maintain alkalinity when dosing kalkwasser

Kalk is a ballanced buffer, same as A & B tybe solltion. When you are dosing kalk you are adding calcium and buffer at the same time. Make sense?

Well, when i had it hanging on the back of my tank i could adjust it so there were no bubbles making it into the tank. If i closed off the airline valve too much, than i started to have bubbles...

Thanks guy's, yea Tony i know what you mean i was going through the same. The only diffrence is when you have your sump plumbed in the basement the power has to go off for 20 seconds or my pump wont...
