Usually the DI resin will change color. It starts off blue/green then changes to a brownish color. My chambers are clear so it's easy to check.

Beautiful but very finicky fish, so be careful. Better chance of survival if has already been adapted to someones tank. Must have a deep sandbed for it to hide in as well.
