This CAN'T Be Good...
Alan, when i feed my tank i shut the main pump off and just use the current in the powerheads to move food around.
I wouldnt worry about your plumbing too much as long as you shut off the pump...

something to do with people purchasing fixtures instead because the fixtures were cheeper than the ballast's. Dont quote me onthis but that's what i heard through the grapevine. :confused:

They are
PHILLIPS
4 BULB T8 ELECTRONIC BALLAST.
I am not at home now so I can not give the exact # but they are the only $15.00 ballast and they are marked with a big yellow sign.

Refugium Lighting
I have a 75g basement sump with 1/3 partitioned off as a refugium. I put a quick hood together and put 3 x 18" bulbs in the hood and are Overdriving them by a factor of 4x. they are wired in series...
