A good bulb to start with is the ARC bulbs that aquaria.ca STILL has on sale for $50.00. That setup looks pretty heavy though, any thoughts on how you'll mount it?

Are you talking about home reno's like wiring and plumbing or are you talking about general coverage for your tank. I think as a rule a person should have any project inspected for your own safety...

It could be that the flow has changed in the new tank so its just trying to get more comfortable. If lighting were an issue it would have moved right away.

50 lbs in a 55 gallon should be a good amount to start with. I think you should be fine.
