I wish I could tell you what the secret is, but I have absolutely no idea. I did nothing special, standard Berlin method aquarium. I did dose iodine most of the time, but I don't think thats the key....

Most likely the high nutrients right now are from die off in the rocks from the move, especially since you have ammonia.

Algae, like Cyano is telling you that there's a problem in your tank that needs to be addressed.

You likely have very high nutrients with no way of exporting them....
