What rock should I use?
Hi All,
For my 75G I was thinking of going with about 25 lbs of base rock and 50 lbs of live rock. What should I use for the base rock? J&L has Reef Rock for a little over $1/lb but it is dense...

Light timers
I'm just using your basic rotary light timers with the coloured pegs for on and off times. I've got 2 so I can do dawn/dusk with my actinics and MH. Does anybody else use something better?

Hi All,

What sand for remote DSB
Howdy,
I'm thinking of putting a remote DSB on my new 75G. I've read that you can use regular silica play sand without silica, or other, issues. Has anyone used this? Any comments or experience?

Hi again,
What I was thinking of doing is putting eggcrate on the bottom, as a base for my rock, and then putting the 1" substrate in to cover it. Does that make sense?
