Also check out Kailua beach, not sure on the snorkelling in that area but the beach is absolutely beautiful and much less crowded than Waikiki. You can take the bus there.

I agree, it doesn't make sense to me to buy a cheaper salt and then have to always add calcium to it when you do a water change. IMO it makes more sense to spend the extra on a salt that is balaced...
