I did it.
I took about a teaspoon of Kalk...
I did it.
I took about a teaspoon of Kalk and added to 2 teaspoons of aquarium water, mixed it up and gave that little B*&%&^%d a mouth full.
Results are still pending.

what does aiptasia look like
I think I might have recieved some aiptasia in my last order of Live Sand.
I have this clear round plant growing in the new sand. It has long clear tenticals which start thick at the base of the pod...

Well I dont think Ill be getting into a hard...
Well I dont think Ill be getting into a hard corals.
As my 50 gallon tank only has 2 25 watt NO bulbs which restrict what I can keep as far as corals.
What im really looking for is some advice on...

My Alkalinity is High
I just started adding Balls pickling lime to my tank two days ago and I checked my Ph, Alkalinity, nitrates, nitrites, Ammonia today and Im concerned about a couple results.

Every time you use it you have to add 15 drops of the thrid bottle before it turns purple. I usually get 5 to 8 at the most.

Test Kits suck
Just wanted to vent some steam on test kits and get some opinions at the same time.
I currently use a Hagen test kit which by the way sucks. :twisted:
I find it hard to determine what the reading...

Canadian Man (question about lime)
With this lime I bought from you today.
Did you say to add 5 table spoons per 5 gallon bucket or was teaspoons.
Just couldnt remember.

Cheap hermits
I was at Big als today and they are selling Small, well very small blue leg hermits for 1.75 each if you by 15 or more.
Might be just to good to pass up as they usually sell for at least a dollar...
