thought kids soccer was to be cheap

$25 community league membership
$200 x 2 bingo deposit (work or pay)
$190 for soccer itself
$75 deposit for jersey

watching my kid run around in a mob, technically not priceless. Least the wife didn't have triplets.

Sports are sure getting expensive. Maybe the way to look at it is that it could be worse, the kid could be playing hockey in winter and golf in summer:mrgreen:

ha ha ha...my son was in soccer this year too.....and there was a set of triplets on his team!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine?!

You think soccer gets you in the wallet...just got our son signed up for hockey....gear for a 4 year old? $550.00 and that doesn't include sign up, jersey, private skating lessons as he can't yet skate....or anything else....UGH.....

ahahhaa soccer? soccer? dude soccer is cheap compared to hockey, i play junior hockey and its a bitch lots of coin, plus gear is 10times more expensive than anything else, like 900 for skates 300 for stick (1) 150 for helmet, 100 for shoulderpads 100 for pants 200 for gloves 100 for shin pads just stupid soccer is cheap compared to this concider yourself lucky! lol:smile:

I remember my parents paying $40 each for my brother and I to play hockey when I was a kid. I see some of the bills that the AHL team I work for gets for their gear, scary.

Aquattro 09-05-2008 03:43 PM

Tank 500
Sump 200
bulbs 350
ballasts 300
live rock 300
corals 400
skimmer 300
powerheads 300

Maybe I should take up soccer instead....:)

Would that be the Moose? I hope you have a very good team this season, 'cuz the Canucks are gonna need all the help they can get. Did you know Gary Lupul at all? (scout, former Canuck) He was a very good friend of mine; grew up together. Really miss him.

Try having a competive figure skater with 3 coaches.

It is the moose. We do have a good crop of returning vets, plus whoever the canucks have signed lately. Unfortunately, our assistant coach resigned yesterday for family reasons, so that puts a bit behind, but we should have a new guy in place for monday.

Can't say I've heard of him. Who does he scout for now?

He passed away last year. Only 48 years old. He was a big favourite with Canuck fans. He grew up here in Powell River, B.C. and worked his way to the pros.
