I NEED HELP

I was looking in my sump and I saw a white blob about 4 inches around and 1/2 inch think and I touched it and it was like a big browny gue coverd in a white crust and I just started the tank and only have 25lbs of rock and 1 damsel in it it's a 125 gallon tank and a 55 gallon sump what could it be

looking for advice

I have 180 gallon reef tank, that has been operating now for about six months. I recdently upgrade from a 150 gallon tank that I had opearting for a few years. In the previous tank I had no issues keeping corals.

The set up that I have is as follows: six T5 54w bulbs..2 white , 2 blue, 2 pink, on for aprox. 10 -11 per day on timers. My lghts are sitting on top of my tank about six inches from my glass. The lights are 48 inches( the tank lenght is 72, but I have my rock set up...

Day four - more rock and water added

Added a little more water and put in the rest of the dry rock (currently at 400lbs). Many thanks to Elias @ caco3reef.com for the nice rock. I'm gone for the next three weeks so I'll re-arrange the rock work then as well as add nearly 400lbs of live rock to it. Lots of live sand to add as well.

2nd pic shows two snails - one on the left and one on the right making tracks in the sand. Also seen a few small bristleworms in the sand through the glass, excuse me, acrylic. It'll take...

Day three - slowly getting there.

We are on a well in our new house so in fear of draining it (also slowly filling a 2000 gal pond) it'll be done over a few days.

Day 2 - Filled to nearly 300 gal, mixed salt, install a few powerheads and filters, added heaters to get temp. up, added enough sand to just cover the bottom, and mixed in some chemicals.

Day 3 - Added some more mixed water, added some live sand with a few critters, added 200 lbs of dry rock, and gave the front a once over with my new Tiger...
