New home means new tank! I am going to be setting up a new 120 gallon tank (replacing my old 90 gallon) and have decided to invest in a new tank, stand and lights. The new tank, along with a newly build stand should be arriving tomorrow and I have just picked up a 40 gallon sump from a friend that does not need it anymore. The sump will be on the sidelines for a while as I need to replace one of the baffles.

For lighting, I have decided to replace my 2 x 250 MH (had them only for seven months) with the Ecotech Radion LEDs. I never thought I would be switching sides but after seeing all the hype and recently posted videos of other peeps tanks and reading the information of LEDs and the types of LEDs out on the market I really think the Radions are the best choice for my new SPS dominant tank. Thanks to Modular LED, I have four new Radions sitting in my garage patiently for this very moment. Three of them will be going over the tank while the fourth may be saved for a frag tank.

For water movement in the tank I will be using one Ecotech MP60 and two MP40s... hope this will generate a decent flow and if not, I will add a couple of Koralia Evolutions.

Earlier today, I went to a local plumbing shop with a buddy to buy all the necessary plumbing parts and before sunset I went to pick out some new LR from a LFS and will be sharing some potential scaping I took with my Iphone with you all soon.

Anyways, that is all for now... hope to add more details and pics before the end of the week.

Rice Reef signing off.

Will do! I regret that I did not do so the last time. Certainly helps to see how ones tank progress over time.

I will be using one Ecotech MP60 and two MP40s

I'd say that's going to be more than enough! Hope you're going bb?

I won't be having them going at 100%. I am currently running one MP60 and one MP40 at 75% so I figured if I go with two MP40s, I can run them at 50%. If it is too much then I will save one of the MP40s for the future frag tank.

My buddy, Chris Lewis (Out of the Blue Creations) then came over and worked on the sump and plumbing.

Looking good...Glad to see someone else joining the LED club!.

Thanks! I am still in the MH club for now as I am still in the planning stage in how to hang three Radions. I have two Ecotech Radion hanging kits and Martin of Modular LED custom made a hanging bracket that will hold all three Radions together but I am uncertain of how to hang this over my tank. I will most likely open to others for their opinion when that time comes as I will provide my details then.

I have decided to run the MH over the tank for now until I have figured out how I am going to hang the Radions...

Stay tune for more to follow soon...

Gregg, thank you! Now that I have a journal set up here I will be able to see the frags grow over time. Many thanks to you! Will be posting an update in the near future. I've had the flu and has set me back two weeks. The parameters are out a bit as I've not had the time to set up the doser. Still working and planning in how to hang the three radions... Until then the MH remain.

Just a minor update... It's been 50 days since i moved and switched everything to the new tank and i have finally gotten around to check on the parameters and it looks like I still need to tinker with the DKH, Ca and Mg levels.
CA 400- Would like to get back to 450
MG 1280- would like to get back to 1425
PH 7.7
Temp 78
DKH 7- would like it at 7.7
PO4 0
NO3 0
SG 1.026

Corals are gradually adjusting to the new tank and Colors and are bouncing back from the shock due to the move. Still using MH but I do see some new growth on a few sps but more noticeable with the zoas.

I think next week is going to be an exciting week for me as I've planned to have the Radions hanging over the tank! Stay tune for more...

I wonder how you could clean up the cords hanging off the back when using pendants? Maybe one of those plastic coil thingys?

FWIW, as a LED hater, I was really impressed seeing Shelley's Radions. Really nice light and no noticeable disco ball effect.

What's the dimensions of your tank? I have two Radions over a 4ft x2ft tank and it lights it well.. It would not be enough if my tank was any longer.

I had originally considered going with two, however with a 4x2 tank I was concern with the chance of having the spotlight effect so after a discussion with Martin of Modular LED, I decided to go with three units and Martin made the rails for my light.

Since my last post I have been working on maintenance such as setting up the ATO, cleaning the tank and equipment and made some changes to the aqua scape. the new rock formation allows more flow and openness for fish to swim about. The Mp60 and Mp40 are synced with each other and to the Radions. Will be looking at adding three more fish and then leaving it on auto pilot. Here is probably my last pic with the iPhone ( Brad has been giving me a hard time on this LOL) and will try to update on a monthly basis with pics of FTS and SPS growth over time.

Tank parameter update:
CA-480
Mg-1410
Alk-6 (working on this)
Radion-70%-artificial mode

Yes. The Radions gives you the full spectrum... I guess you can always add other colour LED strips or replace the lights with other LED lights but the Radions already has them and with its clean and sleek design, I don't have to fiddle around so much. From a cost perspective, I figured that had I gone with the Sols I would have had to pay a few hundred dollars to have it upgraded close to a Radion.

Not too much to add for March... picked up a new Eheim 1262 pump for my return from Blue World Aquarium to replace my old 7 yr old pump. From what I've read I should notice a quieter pump from what I am currently using. Hope to have it in this weekend.

As for stock I picke up a new tang (also from Blue World) a week and a half ago... Introducing Scarface...

Why I called him Scarface? You will have to watch...

Very nice to finally see him in a place to call home.

I also rescued a fish that was hurt through some sort of ordeal. He is a True Percula with a mouth that is half healed shut. I have small pellets to feed him but he still has hardly grown lol. Can you guess what My wife named him? lol

Not much happening tonight so I took some macro pics of sps in the tank. There have been some good signs of new growth since changing the lights to LED and I have also started dosing brightwell's microbacter7. It seems to be working as the skimmer is working harder as the skimmate is thicker and the stench is even stronger than before.

Here are a couple of pics of the tank...

It's been two months since I have posted an update... Corals are growing and it may have been benefiting from the following changes
- I've switched over to biopellets but I am still dosing Vodka
- I have been adding 1 capful of MB7 once a week

Since April my two flasher wrasses finally decided to commit suicide. I am to blame as I did not have a top screen and I do not want to put one over the tank (at least not now). So, no more wrasses for me.

I have also added more frags to the tank (don't know where they are gonna go but I will have to find room for them) from fellow Canreefers in the Mainland and another CM order.

Here are some pics... from Top Down... I picked up a Eshopps Super Spy Viewer... while taking pics the darn thing kept on moving about ( I had the pumps off but the return is still moving it around) and affecting some of the images. Hope you don't mind some blurry pics... Guess I will have to figure out how I am gonna secure this while taking pics... may need an assistant to hold it still...

Enjoy the top down of existing corals and some of the new ones....

Brad, pls don't remind me... I thought of that after the last batch of frags... Don't know about a bigger tank but I have to fish out that darn blenny who keeps pushing all the frags around. Gonna try that fish hook trick soon. I have been hoping that the blenny would also commit suicide like the wrasses I bought from Gareth. Sooner I get rid of him the better so I can place more frags on the second level. If I don't upsize I know I can throw some corals in your tank.

Brad, Thanks for dropping by. Hope the doggy bag made it home ok. I've made some changes as you have suggested after you left and will be making a few more... just added a mini colony , picked up what I think is a Walt Smith Sarmentosa from Blue World Aquariums. Don't say it....

So here is a new FTS with some minor changes... I've removed alot of the soft corals and opened up the center so that i can add a pillar like rock... not certain what I will do with it right now... next stage is to sort out what sps I want to keep... I've also added a couple dead rocks that I had and filled out the right rock formation.

Yep. I am surprised that Len did not pick this up... He has one from CM but I recall the colours are different...

The colours are slightly different... Sarmentosa is another one of those "must have" corals for me. For some reason or another I just don't see sarmentosa often... Except in pics. Anyways, if it ends up being the same guess I'll be sharing with my fellow reefers...

LOOKING FOR SOME UPDATES....:Banane14:

Haha! I will try and take some new pics later this week.
Late jul and aug have been trying times for me and the tank...

Had some issue late in July with the profilux standalone doser and had stopped dosing for almost a week ( with exception to a few manual dosing) until I figured out the issue with the doser... The dosing pump for the Mg would not stop... Profilux thought that water had gotten in. Stopped the doser, checked it out and later that week it started to work properly again. It turns out that there was nothing wrong... and it may have had a brain fart moment... ever since it has been working normal again. My ca and Alk are lower then the norm but I have been gradually dosing extra to bring this back.

Then in Aug, one of my radion light failed... The fan stopped working... Bad luck, I guess... called Ecotech, was told that I had to deal with the Cdn distributor. Martin of Modular Led responded to my concerns. From there on it was out of his hands and I had to deal with the distributor on this. Overall, my experience with Martin had been great and he was even empathetic of the situation... I wished my experience with the distributor could have been the same or better...
About 1/4 of the sps browned out as I did not get the replacement light until almost 9 business days later.
Anyways, life goes on... I am still having light issues and it is the programming of the replacement light... I am dealing with ecotech on this and the people there have been great. I call them between 6am and 7am in the morning before work and we are still working on it.
What the problem is is that once the lights are programmed and when i exit the software ( after saving etc...) it does not go through the light cycle and the lights remains on so I have to manually turn it off at night and on in the morning.

I have picked up a Apex controller and also the Radion TIR lens kit. I have yet to install these items and I will once the light programming is fixed.
I am now also considering in getting a ca reactor down the road as I hear so many great things about it...

Back to the tank, surprisingly corals are still growing ( I had only one frag fatality ( STN) and hope things will be back to normal soon. Sould have pics later this week ( I hope)...

Wow dude, I guess it has been a crappy summer for you. I can tell you that I have experienced both good and bad customer service and let me tell you what a difference it makes. I recently had my AI's pc board go down on few units. I contacted AI and within hours I got a reply from Justin, he asked me to do a few tests and came to a conclusion that the first gen pc boards has failed. He offered me to ship out the replacements for free but it will be regular shipping, he also went one step above and offered me expedited service using several different options of shipping which I was glad to pay a little extra to ensure my thousand in corals aren't threaten by a couple of faulty lights. I mean this is almost life and death for the corals, 9 business days probably 13 days without lights is just simply ludicrous! I was very satisfied with the respond time and the quality of service that I received from Aquaillumination and I can tell you that I will be a happy return customer. On the other hand, I have also dealt with some characters that will instantly point there finger at everyone else except for themselves. They will tell you that its never the product but the end user like you must have drop it in water or it has never had a problem like this before or "these are German made product, you know the Germans they always make good stuff...." that was a quote from shamwow(btw they suck). Dealers and distributors have to realize that your responsibility doesn;t end until the warranty period has expired at the very least and not everyone is looking for a free hand out. Get your customer service right and you will get repeat customers, if not then you might as well be in a different business.

Anyways I am just glad that thing has some what worked out for you. Hope to see some cool pics soon. If you need help setting up the apex controller and the calcium reactor I will be more then happy to come out and help. That way I will have an excuse to check out your tank and go ninja on the corals.

Rob of Ecotech and went over the lights and software again this morning. It looks like we've finally learned why the lights were not running with the light programs...

Rob had me to ungroup all the lights and set up as three separate lights however running the same light program. By doing this we can see which lights are in sync with the software and which one is not. Rob suspects that the one that isn't may have a programming error and will required to be replace.

Well, when I got home this evening from the office I noticed that the original lights I have are in sync with the light program while the replacement light received from the distributor is not. Man, do I have just the worst luck in aug! I'll wait until tomorrow morning and review with Rob from Ecotech before calling Martin on this...

We did have a chuckle, as part of the install is to add two clips to hold the wire harness away from the LEDS.. Something that obviously should have been done during manufacture:wink:

Now to test to see if it can run a full cycle without any problems...

As for the TIR lens, they seemed much brighter, better spread and able to reach the corals near the bottom better. I have toned down the intensity level at this time to 70% and will monitor and increase the intensity level gradually over time.

Just picked up a Canon 5d mark iii DLSR and took some pics of the tank and corals at time when the Radions were transitioning to night settings. I have to say that I am very impressed with quality with the following pics taken at 3200 iso except for one at 2500... No photoshop required.

Whew... I was worried for a while... Brad and Rich, thanks for reviewing the pic for me... I've never dealt with red bugs before so I am reliant on your knowledge and experience on this. I've always dip all my corals before they enter the tank. Much appreciated!

I currently have them at 90% for 8 hrs a day but I had also ran them for 4 hrs at start with the intensity at 50% ( i think...) and slowly increased the duration along with the intensity.

I like them but I had problems with one not long ago...

Dipping is not really a 100% guarantee. Best to inspect visually with a magnifying glass, they're pretty easy to see. I use a microscope on all new frags. That said, red bugs are one of the easiest things to get rid of. AEFW are the nasties to avoid!!

The positive are that the corals are growing and coloring up...

Greg, thanks! They could be better but I took them later in the evening so the pics turned out more on the blue side. Pic 7 is a Snappy Purple Poison SC. The tip got stung a month ago and glad it did not die as it is starting to show some colours. It was a grey/pinky coral for a while.

Been fighting cyano the last month... I think it is b/c of the bio pellets or b/c I stopped dosing vinegar. Tried using chemiclean and it only upset the cyano as it came back with a vengeance. I am now using Zeozym, biomate, MB7 and Coral Snow. It seems to be working but has only been four days...

Great looking macros again. You've got some crazy PE going on in that tank and the colors of those SPS are pretty unreal.

What do you normally do to get your white balance adjusted properly? I find when taking photos of the tank I can never consistently get my white balance adjusted to show the true colors of the corals.

Thanks again. I am quite lucky so far that the corals are now growing and colouring up. I would have to say that this set up is now 1 yr old and it has had a few set backs too. I am currently having a war against cyano and I may want to add more flow in the back and I am thinking that the biopellets may be the culprit to the cyano as I added biopellets over gfo six months ago... May consider adding gfo back now if I cannot beat e cyano with Zeozym and coral snow.

As for the white balance, I am just shooting with AWB with my Canon 5D mark iii. It seems to work fine (new processor?) however, with my prev Canon I usually set it to 10000K.

Thanks again. I'm just fortunate that most things are going well. Right now I am fighting a war against cyano. I've tried chemi clean and I think that it made it worst so I am now trying other methods like using Zeozym, coral snow and i am adding MB7 and vinegar with it. I think it may be the biopellets as I did not have had it this bad before.

I've learned a lot from people I've met along the ways and applied their methods to mine.

Water change: 20% every three weeks... I would like to do 20% every two weeks if time permits. I see vast improvements when I went from four to three.

Dosing: DIY Alk, CA and MG right now... Planning to go with CA reactor soon... Probably in a yr.. Just want to use up what supply I have left still before switching.

Carbon:changed every two weeks and I top up the biopellets when it gets low in the reactor. I am thinking of adding back GFO if I can't fight off the cyano

Skimmer: clean the skimmer cup once a week and the whole skimmer twice a yr..

ATO:but not currently using it as I am able to top off daily right now ( why I don't use it as it gives me a reason to spend some time with the tank). I do plan to use it if I do get go away for a few days, holiday etc... Having the salinity levels being consistent helps...

Feeding: feed frozen food every two or three days and if feed nori and dry pellets daily ( but lightly, of course).

Other Dosing:
add Zeozym twice a week ( I am adding daily right now) starting dec 5th
Coral Snow nightly
Vinegar daily
MB7 weekly
Biomate weekly

I am planning to make some changes soon particularly on the rockscaping... Now that I have a better idea of how each of the SPS are growing I can redo the Tank. Thank goodness I have kept my 90 gallon in the garage. I won't be keeping all the corals so I am planning to have a second/ frag tank in the garage soon. Planning on this now... Devating to getting a new 4 ft long tank but shallower... 18 inches instead of 24? Considering changing the main lights and use the current lights for the garage tank...

Any advice and recommendations?

LOL...you figured me out... Now Brad is gonna bug me even more.... I think I have close to 80 corals frags in the tank... Prob more now... Reason more to plan the second tank... Since I am going with a less rock approach, I can save the remaking live rocks for the second tank... So just need a new tank ( unless I keep my 90 but I am thinking of using the 90.

So here is my Christmas wish list...

- two mitras or two radion (pro)
- vertex alpha 200 skimmer ( or BK)

I have extra power heads, return pumps, phosban reactors and heaters so I won't need to spend on these...

What are you suggesting? That I call you a frag whore? 'cause that's not something I would call you. Many others might, but not me. Nope.

As for new tank, I still can't figure out why you have an empty 12 foot wall in your room..just sayin' :)

Learned that I do not have cyano ( thanks, Brad!) instead have red turf algae. I went nuts on water changes, chemi clean and Zeozym and more water changes the last 4-6 weeks... :frusty:

So, went the the LFS and picked up five mexican turbo snails and eyeing on a rabbit fish to work on the red turf.

After another 20% water change today I checked the PO4 level with the Hanna...
.23... Almost fainted... Did another test again and the same result... :frusty:
Then it hit me... I forgot to divide by 1000. Need to convert from ppb to ppm.

So I checked the Hanna po4 checker and it is just the low range checker so it is already measuring at ppm.. My po4 is at .23... :fear:

This is after the water change... Will do another check tomorrow... All fish and corals are look fine... Fish are eating... Corals have lots of pe...I wonder if it could be the Zeozym...? Checked my RO water TDS meter reads .000...
Will have to get another test kit to be certain...

Hopefully you can get that down to 0 and the red stuff might just go away on it's own. While snails might remove the algae from the rock, it comes right back out into the water, causing algae to grow on the rock, repeat.

The ZEOzym does combat slime types of algaes. It should be eliminating what's feeding that red turf algae that your fighting.

Then it hit me... I forgot to divide by 1000. Need to convert from ppb to ppm.

Are you using the low-range Phosphorous checker that reports in ppb? If so then to convert to phosphate first multiply by 3.066 then divide by 1000. (Nice and intuitive, no?)

But if it says ppm on the unit then you probably have the phosphate checker.

Took me a little while to realize they are two different checkers giving two different sets of results but at least you can convert the reading from one to the other with the handy dandy maths...

...

Sorry if I missed this info but are you running GFO? I ask because I notice you mention the zeovit products (Zeozym etc.) and FWIW, I was running zeovit on my tank with absolutely no testable reductions in PO4 over a period of well over a year. I started using gfo and that is the only thing that made a difference in my phosphate readings (and overall tank health)...

I checked and the "ppm" is on the checker... Must be my old age...missed it entirely and googled it for more details thinking I had to do calculus to figure it out.

I am only using the following zeovit products... Coral snow, Zeozym and Biomate... I wonder if it is a coincidence... The phosphate had only shot up recently when I started to use Zeozym... It is suppose to help break down protein as well as helping to increase build up of bacteria. I had recently used chemi clean thinking that I had cyano and probably reduced the good bacteria in the tank... so I started to use Zeozym, MB7 and Biomate together. I did another test with the Hanna today and it dropped to .21... Making morevRO water right now so I can do another water change tonight... All the fish are well, the tangs are picking at the algae off the rocks and all the corals are seemed to be content...
Ca is at 460; mg:1300 (working to bring this up to (1400); Alk: 8;sg: 1.026; no3: 2(low range).
Going to try and get some phosphate remover while doing more water changes as I have stopped running GFO when switched over to biopellets... Currently also dosing vinegar... Guess I had better pick some GFO too... Lucky I am on holiday right now...

Those parameters are not bad at all. As far as the Mg goes I'm not sure I'd even bother raising it, 1300 is already not bad.

Pretty much anything we add to the tank is going to have some effect on phosphate (it's in everything or so it seems, anyhow). I found that the biopellets also don't do a lot for me for PO4 reduction, although having said that, I think I read that they can only reduce PO4 alongside NO3. NO3 becomes the limiting factor, ie., once it's down to zero or near zero then the pellets can't reduce the PO4 any further than wherever they are at. So getting some GFO might not be a bad idea going forward.

Although if you're doing vodka isn't that supposed to take care of PO4 as well as NO3? I'm not really sure about that.

If you ran Chemiclean recently to take care of cyano, you might need to let that run its course before things completely settle out. I find it takes at least a week plus a water change or two plus new carbon to get a tank to settle back in after doing a cyano treatment.

I did have the mg at the high 1400 before but lately the tank demanded more and when it slipped down to 1250 did I started to raise the daily dosage. Could it be the drop in the mg creating the imbalance cause the red turf?

I used to dose VSV before running biopellets but I am only dosing vinegar along with the pellets. The no3 isn't too bad... Using the low range testing the no3 is at .02 (or so based on the colour chart). Not certain either if this had an effect on the po4...

I did the chemiclean back in early November so I am assuming that it may not be that. But I then jumped right into Zeozym two weeks later...

Guess I'll just work on the water change and see if the numbers will continue to drop or not...

I've something along the lines that higher Mg can impede the growth of certain algaes like Bryopsis, but I was under the impression that Mg had to be pretty low, like maybe <1000 or something. Natural seawater is supposedly somewhere in the 1250 ballpark so I think 1300 is fine. I tend to target my tank to have Mg around 1450 but I do this for 2 reasons unrelated to algae - 1) I can't definitely explain how or why, but my anemones just look better and more inflated and so on when Mg is at 1400 then when it is at, say, 1100 or 1200. In fact, if I notice my anemones looking less inflated I immediately check Mg and so far 100% of the times this has happened I've found Mg to be low (this was before I would adjust my water change water to have higher Mg, this way when I do a waterchange it bumps Mg back up and I never need to dose the tank itself anymore). 2) Since Mg will deplete over time at a rate proportional to Ca and Alk, having it higher than needed allows for it to deplete without it getting too low in between waterchanges. It seems things are more tolerant of Mg being slightly too high than slightly too low (if that makes any sense).

Anyhow long story short, at 1300 I wouldn't sweat the Mg value but just maybe add a little to your water change water so it goes up to say 1400 after that and you should be set.

Otherwise, stay the course, sounds like you have a good plan for things to settle out. Good luck!

Yep, I may just have too. After reading more on Zeozym I am thinking that it could be breaking down the proteins in the rocks thus resulting in this sudden po4 spike. Just did another 20 gallon water change. Tested the water before the change... Still at .21. Will be testing the water tomorrow and hope that it has dropped... Will be preparing another batch of water in the morning. So far no casualties ( knock on wood )...

Does running GFO tend to increase the iron readings in the tank? I know you can get test kits for iron but I've never tried one.

This morning's po4 reading was .25... It went up. After a strong cup of coffee I traced back to everything that i did in the last four weeks, including the water changes... could it be a defective Hanna or the RO unit? I don't recall checking the RO water lately... I had just made a fresh batch this morning... The TDS read 016. Tested the tap water... .019... Then it hit me... I forgot to change the RO units membrane! To be certain I took it to a LFS and had the tap water and the tank water tested and it came up with very similar results. The last four week of water changes was all for nothing. I could have prevented the build up of po4 had I used the TDS meter.
Will be making a large batch of RODI water tonight ( with a new membrane).. . The lesson learned is to not assume the water is po4 free even though the last batch was. I will put off in using GFO at this time and try reducing the po4 naturally. Will be testing the po4 regularly for now.

I thought I read somewhere that the Hanna checkers for phosphate don't give correct readings on freshwater. Having said that I can't seem to find the link where I read that, so I'm not 100% sure. I guess it can't hurt to have a new RO membrane regardless..

Yes, I did... First test was a triple zero, second test was .028 and third test was .017... That was what prompt me to question the Hanna po4 tester.
The old membrane was due for a change. I had forgotten to do so in the summer.

I don't know much about that but after testing it with the Hanna you may be right about that. Have a new one, in fact, I upgraded to the deluxe puratek... No more guessing and forgetting... Guess I'll be keeping the old one ( which is like new) for drinking only.

Wayne, if you do go the GFO route, keep in mind that a rapid removal of PO4 can upset your SPS, so do it gradually over a couple/few months
Ie; first month 10ml/10g, second month 15-20ml/10g, then you can move onto 25ml/10g from there
FWIW - I use 250ml each 4 weeks on my 110g system

Minor update...
PO4 has dropped to .06 prior to another water change. One more water change should bring the PO4 down to undetectable or at least close to that...

Purchased a rabbit fish to work on the red turf (hope it likes red turf) and any other undesired algae. This rabbit fish has been at Blue World for a few months and eating well. I did not quarantine this fish as I would normally would as I would and based on its reputation being a very hardy fish ( and that I wanted it to work on the algae) I have taken the chance on it.
The rabbit fish seems to be doing very well and has already been picking on the algae off the rocks. It seems that the sailfin tang does not like the rabbit fish and finds it intrusive to its feeding grounds... And I have noticed that the other tangs are also more attentive to feeding on the algae as well. From my observation this morning, he is not taken any interest on any corals but I will continue observing it for the time being.

Have also picked up five more sps frags... Trying to find or make room... (LOL)
I have also picked up two photosynthetic ( purplish) gorgonians ... I have really taken a liking on gorgonians so I hope they will be happy in the tank.

Hope to add some picks of the rabbit fish and gorgonians later tonight.

Just an update on the PO4... I've now completed 170 gallons of water change over the last two weeks and the PO4 is now down to .03. The colours on the corals are coming back and overall all, lost only two frags ( thank goodness). I have also started using GFO this weeek to help bringing it down to 0, however this is only going to be temporary.

Moving forward, I will be doing even more water changes on a regular basis (30 gallons every 10 days) as I am seeing a very positive affect on the corals (sps).

As for the red turf algae it looks like I am winning the battle with improved water conditions, the extra mexican turbo snails and my new two bar rabbit fish.

I have also finally set up the Neptune Apex Controller yesterday! Should have done this six months ago...

Lastly, just waiting for the new ... Hope they will be here soon...
