one tank is black and one tank is blue. Once all the coraline grows it doesn't really matter.

i was at a store just recently and they had this background that was blue but it looked as though you were at the bottom on the ocean looking up, had some ripples like the waves and such. looked awesome, i put some on my buddies freshwater tank and it looked amazing.

I guess it only matters if your going to scrape it and keep it clean. I voted black, I have had black and the light blue that most people use and black is way better IMO. Having said that I think a very dark blue would work too, like royal or navy blue.

why not white or grey?
My old tank had a white. loved the look but algae really stood out on it
good reason to keep it clean

Keep it clean and black. It frames the corals better and makes the colors pop. If you're into that nice looking corals kind of thing.

I've had both and I prefer blue but it really boils down to what you like yourself since taste is a rather personal thing. You are the one that will see it every day so make it what you like and don't get caught up in worrying about the opinions of others.

You wouldn't consider white? Here's a pic of an old tank of mine if you want a reference.

Its nice because the white background sort of adopts what ever color temp your bulbs are. To me it give the most depth and is the most natural looking.
