Hairy legs or smooth legs?

Birdsnest's are not acro's. Every acro crab I have seen has been in an acro. Acro crabs are usually smooth and white with a black strip through their eyes.

from what i can tell ( the little guy is so small).. he has smooth legs and is yellow (a shade lighter than the coral)

upon closer inspection... he has a furry body, including legs (hairs are very difficult to see - same color as the body) but definitely there

Really, I have one that is furry and tan in color living in my large sps colony. He has been there probably about a year, he hangs out. He never leaves that colony and the sps is doing great, nothing wrong with my stuff.
I left him because he doesn't do any harm
Hmmmm!

very hard to tell now (if he is furry or not).... i tried to pull him out to get a good picture... almost impossible with his size and how easily he can move between branches.....

+1, you will only cause yourself more damage by trying to pry him out. Keep an eye on him and the colony, if you see it go down hill remove him at that point. Between my colonies I think I have around 5 crabs, 1 of them being fuzzy, they swap every so often but everyone seems to be happy.
Now only if I could keep my urchin away.

so he lives???....I had only one crab(with a problem) in my tank and he was the size of a quarter. I actually saw him munch down a staghorn. He met the great river.

he lives... for now. if he gets into any trouble though, your trouble maker might find himself a new companion
