Hi everyone,

My Canreef reactor is up and running nicely, with my bubble count being around 8/min, and the effluent rate at 30 drops/min. The PH is around 6.7, but according to the ARM media, It should be a bit higher. What is the general opinion on the best way to do this?

1)Lower bubble count
2)Raise effluent drip rate.

Thanks,

Also, I seem to be getting some rather bad Em interference with the modules on the my Aquacontroller II. Any module that is near my atinic ballast does not work. Also, it seriously messes up the temperature probe. Any one else have this problem?

Thanks, and have a great new year everyone

Jason :D

Hey Jayson, How's it going?

I would leave your reactor where it is.
arm boasts that media dissolves @ 7.0 which is great but 6.5 is fine too and 6.7 is the best of both.
I believe I have read things about some of the stuff in the media getting dissoled at 7.0 and all of the stuff getting dissolved at 6.5.

Sorry I can't help you with the interference.

Hello,

Ideally you should strive to have a lower pH. If you, for some reason however, wants to increase the pH slightly you can increase the effluent rate or decrease bubble rate. You can also do both if you like.
