honestly I looked for one of these guys for three years. I was on the list at JL and also was on the lookout but never even seen one. I was able to get hold of one three weeks ago. it was a little sketchy at first as the clown and kole are jerks but all is great now. love this guy anyone else have one?

That's odd you had such a hard time finding one. They're pretty cool fish.

really you see them a lot? i just looked when i was in fish stores and didn't see them ever. i also called jl sometimes without luck. Curious what do the go for when you see them?

They are relatively common in Ontario but not something you will see every single week.

I've got one in my reef and enjoy his personality.

definitely one of the more personable fish i've kept. the other kind of funny thing about mine is it doesn't seem to pay much attention to the hierarchy order in the tank and basically does as it pleases... honey badger style

Yeah $80 these days.

Perhaps my favourite fish, they're hilarious. Look like something straight out of The Simpsons. J&L does get six or eight at a time they're not that rare, but awesome.

I guess the quantity decrease then, the price really increase as some of the websites offer it for $85 depending on its size.

Yes it seems they have about doubled in price in last few years. Other species of Hawkfish are still around $30-40.
