Anyone have any ideas on joining what appears to be 50mm UPVC to regular 1.5" PVC? Aside from a dremmel? Which is going to happen really quickly here :)

are you sure you are not using vacuum line and trying to join it with potable water line

Trying to join a gate valve to a Euro Reef skimmer. Gate valve 1.5", skimmer 50mm.
Gate valve now also ~50mm. Dremmel 1, skimmer 0

Ya, I waited a good 47 seconds before I fired up the dremmel :) Worked well!

Silicon hose works wonders as well. I used it to join my abyzz (metric) to imperial pvc.

um how about buying the right size to start with, 50mm is 2", not 1.5

You clearly don't appreciate the value of a dremmel...

I use my Dremel to recycle gate valves

Are you suggesting I spelled dremmel incorrectly? :)
