I bought one about a month back wp25 to try in my 90 g reef tank, so far it's performing very well, I like the options of operation choices as well it's got lots of power. I run it on lowest speed and it works great.
It's got my :first: vote.

I run an underpowered WP40 in my 70 gallon. Lots of flow. +1 from me too

Good to hear Laurie. As my Vortechs wear out or break down they will be replaced by these.

I've been looking at getting a wp 40 for my 90 gallon mostly sps to replace 3x 1400gph korellia. Although I'll probably keep 1 or 2 to ensure no dead spots behind my rock work. Need the 1400 for salt mixing.

I bought a wp25 to replace 3 koralia 1040. Its great so far. Its the only power head I have in my 75 gallon now. I like the movement of the corals too and they seem to be happy. It did blow a bunch of my frags off my rock work though when I first started it up.
My only complaint would be the noise. It makes a whirring kind of noise as it ramps up/slows down. Makes my apartment sound like its haunted. I can see past it but it drives the missus mad.

Good one:biggrin: My bedroom is 50' away from my tank. I can still hear my Vortechs. And I'm old. My most used question is "huh? what did you say?"

The only flow in my 6' 165g full reef is a WP60 ordered from Nick at Reef Supply Canada and its also set at the lowest speed & working great. Lots of flow, corals wafting in the ELSE current, and everyone happy. I hear a slight sound from the motor ramping up & down, but its fine.

I love my WP25 that I got about a month ago. Slight noise but not an issue for me. I was surprised how much power it has.

x2. They have no equal price wise when power is the consideration.

With the wp 40 you may not need anything else, they have incredible flow. I use a wp25 in my 90 g on low and nothing else.

I'm currently using a wp40 and 2 wp25's in my 90 gallon. Lots of flow and no dead spots. I'd recommand them to anyone, just keep them turned down or you'll have waves over the side, lol.

Agreed, I have 2 wp40s and 1 wp25 in my 4ft 120g and am happy with the flow.
