Default Exciting! The Maxspect Gyre

We are super excited about the Maxspect Gyre pump and wanted to make sure you knew about it. The type of water flow this unit creates will be extremely beneficial to reefs everywhere!

Check out these excellent video's giving an idea of the power and uniformity of the flow!

KZ Coral Snow shows the flow well at 2:48.

Good illustration of the different power levels.

Pre-order your Maxspect Gyre pump with J&L Aquatics Ltd.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes I know the GYRE 150 would probably be enough for a tank 10 times my size..

I just don't like the flow in one direction...

I installed one yesterday in my RSM 500 S Series (133 gallon) and it is AMAZING! Incredible flow. Prior I was running 4 Tunze and a wavebox. I was able to eliminate them all, and actually have better flow. At first I ran it together with the wavebox, but by turning up the output, got an equal (or I think better) result. Corals responding great. LPS swaying back n forth. SPS really extending polyps. Have it set at 60%.

Tank looks so much 'cleaner' without the powerheads and miles of cords!

Nice review Janet.
Just installed mine as well however it's very noisy at 80%.
Might need to buy those $6 thingies.

Yes I will be buying one of those too... however already seems quieter. Thinking maybe its a bit like with the wavebox and going through a breaking in period. Also wondering why they just don't include that $6 piece in the box.

Besides corals fish more active too. So far 5 stars out of 5!!!

Wow you got yours at 80%. You must have quite the flow going on!

Picked one up today and all I can say is wow. I have it running in a six foot 150 gallon tank and the flow is very impressive. The junk that was pulled out of my rocks and sand when the unit was turned on was unreal. There is honestly not a dead flow spot in the tank with the gyre running.
