Are these just cubes of biopellets? Or does it employ some different form of method to reduce nitrate?

They are not bio-pellets.
Ploylap link: http://www.polyplab.ca/ocra-laborato...lts-1000ml.php
In theory they will do what bio-pellets or Zeolite's will do but in a much simpler method. We all know that Bio-pellets and Zeolites are great at reducing nutrients but we also know that you need to be on top of things and employ strict maintenance with these products. Nitra-guard makes it a little easier for the masses....and cheaper.
thanks

I don't want to post links to other boards here, so you might want to google nitre-guard and check out some of the reviews.
thanks

BIO-Cubes are made from 100% biologically degradable polymers that effectively remove both nitrates and phosphates from both marine and freshwater systems.
|
That's what biopellets are made up of. So, basically, these are just bigger chucks of biopellets* which can be used in mesh bags. I would say it is convenient for nano tanks And saves on the reactor.
*Reasons:
1. Both are made of biodegradable polymers
2. The bio-cubes have to be placed near a skimmer
Same methodology, different names

What happened to the nitraguard biocubes?
They work great and are really simple to run.
Orca labs, polylab & nitraguard www sites are still running......
Was there a company or product relaunch? Have they been relabelled 'Polylab BioSphere" ?
Any info???
