Default African Gorgonian

Picked up an African Gorgonian on sale at Island Pets in Burnaby over the weekend. There was no polyp extension at the store but once I brought it home, the polyps came out and it looks great. It also came with a few feather stars. I haven't ID'ed the gorgonian yet but since the polyps tend to come out in the light, I would have to think that it is photosynthetic.

Just missed the "red" photo contest.

Thanks. Looks like it could be this Red Gorgonian and it is photosynthetic. Probably Paramuricea clavata.

Default Re: African Gorgonian

I'd bought the orange one at the same place also together with 3 nos. of feather stars as bonus about 3 weeks ago. I don't think yours and mine are belonging to the photosynthesis one so beware and I feed it twice a week
