Hello fellow reefers.i would like to ask for some help on how to "hard" plumb my 65 gallon tank.im a complete noob when it comes to plumbing and I do not know where to begin with I have a megaflow adjustable drainpipe with 1" bulkhead and 3/4" return,I purchase a 1" and 3/4" clear tubings then I decided to hard plumb my system.a guy from canreef just gave me a bunch of fittings,valves but don't know which ones to use and what else I'm going to need to finish my system.could you pls guide me?thanks a bunch

excellent! i can now help someone else from making the same mistakes i've made! go back to the "reef" section and go down a few threads to see my thread "leaking bulkhead solution"

read that.

i made every mistake possible and now have to redo it all! do not do the same things i did haha.

on another note.. something else i was never told when it comes to pvc fittings. you MUST use the primer on them unlike with abs.

It's just a basic 65 reef ready tank,nothing too fancy
Equipments
Vortech mp10w es x2(currently on my 33 gallon sps tank)
Bubble Magus curve 5 skimmer
Ehiem compact+ pump 3000
Ecotech radion gen 1(will be buying 1 xr30w pro)
Koralia evo 750gph x2
Phosban 150 reactor x2
Will go for dry rock(cheaper)

is there a special fitting that goes on the bulkhead,and i need to cement the pvc pipes,right?i'm at a complete lost hereon my 33 gallon tank,i have everything HOB so,plumbing an aquarium is foreign to me..

I've figured it out...i need to replace the 1'' and 3/4'' bulkheads that came with the megaflow overflow system,off to jl i go thanks

Look into running your system as a 'Herbie'
The 1" will be your main drain
The 3/4" will be your emergency drain

Then you need to plumb over the back for your returns

Look through the first, I don't know, maybe 10 pages, of my build thread for some pics etc

also,i have a 30''L x 12'' w x 16'' h sump with just two baffles but i'd like to add two-three more baffles,where can i get the glass panels cut?thanks again

I'd suggest you keep your questions specific to your thread

If you have other issues, such as sump, start another thread

As for your plumbing, it's not that difficult
There is tons of help here
Keep reading and waiting for responses for help
