Default Wondering about my choice of employer

They started blocking Internet access. Haven't caught onto Canreef yet but they are blocking photobucket and such so the images don't show.

What am I to do now during my ah lunch?

you could use a proxy server to get past it.

Unless proxy settings are enforced with GPO. OR you could install Firefox and use a proxy, unless Firefox is blocked by GPO. Ya, I'm the guy that blocks stuff with GPO at work

Subverting company policies, or playing cat-and-mouse with your company's security team is a quick way to ensure you won't have to worry about choosing that employer for long.

I had to be the bad guy at work and block all the fun stuff.

Our ISP gives us 200GB a month in bandwidth, and when you have a staff of 80, it doesn't take too long to blow through that. We're getting dinged $5/GB over our allowance, so I've blocked the "potentially bandwidth consuming" and "potentially time consuming" categories. Not to be a jerk, but to keep as close to my 200GB a month.
